End of the Semester!
So its been a while since my last post and life has been a whirlwind of emotion and life! There have defiantly been good days and bad days, but a select few have been there for me and really helped me make it through the semester. I have enjoyed being a freshmen RA so much and cant wait to see what next semester holds. Even when some days I ask myself why am I still here. This semester I have been involved in many things and somehow I am still alive! For teaching I got to spend time in 1st grade and then in 5th to end the year. And by far I enjoyed 5th grade so much more, their minds are brilliant and they have so much to teach those they interact with. For life, many of you have experience my lack of time and I am truthfully sorry for these days. Others I thank you for the time you have given up to be my saving grace! Finally my small group has been such a blessing this semester, and I truthfully am so thankful for each of you who are involved and who support us in some new ideas. If there is more you want to know let me know! Im sure there is but overall this is my recap!

the past 11 days
Monday the 30th- First day of Praxis, we basically went over expectations and syllabi of the program for this semester and those to come. After that we went to our first literacy class and Dr. Prior started teaching us about literacy and also her expectations during are placements.
Tue 31st- First day in Ms. Uthe's 1st Grade SEI Classroom. She had myself and my partner start the second we walked in. I worked with students on there handwriting, sight-words, and then I was also observing. After placement we went to ESE424 and began to talk and learn about High Incidence Disabilities, one of the first things we reviewed is that High dose not refer to the severity rather it speaks of the about of students who exhibit these types of disabilities which in a typical classroom is around 70%.
Wen 1st- 2nd day in the classroom. This day we were given the chance to work individually with some the students, mine is learning her alphabet and how these work together with words and pictures. After class we had are first eval and I received some great feedback on things I did well and the things that I should look into working on. From there we headed back to NAU and had Dr. Priors class and she taught us some more and read us two books.
Thur 2nd- Had are first math class, it was a little difficult not having the text yet and we also were kinda still dealing with the time change. We had been told it would be from 1-4pm and we found out it would be at 8am till 10:30 not to big of a deal but def a diffrence. Then later that evening had ESE 434 a class on Low incidence, this seems like it will be a great class. Afterwords had InterVarsity and this went great many people came and am expecting even more tonight.
Fri, Sat and Sun- nothing just getting to my girls, had a desk shift, and slept.
Monday- relaxing labor day and just got through most of the roommate agreements for my hallway
Tues- Third day in the classroom, this day I took in allot of observations because I knew more and more things would be offered for us to do. HTis day my partner took control of the calendar and she did an awesome job. After class we went back to NAU for ESE 424 and learned more about high incidence disabilities and than also the importance of collaboration.
Wen- Fourth day in the classroom and this day we filled out are contract for are Practicum hours and then continued helping in the class. Received another feed back and am feeling better about my improvement even in only being there in a week.
Today- Had math again and with the book the class ran smother and thanks to a fellow colleague are bellies were satisfied with some amazing food as we worked from there I still have class this afternoon but looking god so far.

HANGING W/ AMANDA
We went to barnes and noble and have been just sitting chatting taking a look at books and just talking bout life and what next year holds. I love spending time with people who dont expect allot out of me, it makes me feel relaxed and I know thats how I want to feel. I am so ready for school and this semesters life to begin, yes at times it is going to be nuts and crazy but I know I am ready for the challenge because this is going to be as close to how real life will be. I do not have any pictures today yet but I promise to reset my background.

Button Bouquet
look at this
I have to make these
I have to make these
Materials:
22 gauge floral stem wires
Pencil
A pair-0-pliers to snip and tighten the wire
Colored 12 pt card stock
Buttons I used:
Two-hole floral button available through Customer Service 1.800.9.MJTRIM
You can pretty much use any style buttons you like. Four-hole and two-hole buttons are the easiest to work with.
How to:
- Using the pencil, draw a few leaves on the 12 pt card stock. Then cut it out using the scissors. I used some green and white color card stock. The white didn’t show up in the picture very well, but you can use any color you like.
Adjust the wire according to your project. It can be as long or as short as you’d like.
Stack your buttons onto the wire. Use as many–or as few– buttons in a stack that you want.
After you finished stacking your buttons, make a loop at the top of the wire. It should be long enough to slip backthrough the buttons & still have 1/2″-1″ left sticking out.
Twist the excess 1/2″-1″ of wire that is sticking out the back of the buttons with your fingers. Use the pliers to secure & tighten the buttons in place.
After completing the twist, stick the wire through the edge of a the leaves your cut out.
Repeat the steps again until you finish the desired amount you like.
After you’ve finished, then twist the wires together to make one large stem.
Once that is done, then use the satin ribbon to wrap around and cover the stem. Use can use gem-tac glue at the beginning and end of the ribbon to make it stick.
Then tie a bow with the 3/8″ ribbon and you’re done!
Besides using it to dress up your desk, you can also use it for weddings, parties, gifts, etc.
to cool for school
So I have gotten ahead on my pos220 class then realized I had forgotten to send in my work. Now I am trying to catch up and man am I feeling stressed! I mean not bad stressed just like why was I so stupid stressed! Well now I am waiting for a dear friend to have lunch with and then I'll get back to work. Heres a look out the window isn't it beautiful!!!!
